Remowin is a non-selective contact herbicide, it only controls the foliage part of weeds, thus promoting intact roots and preventing soil erosion.
Paraquat acts in the presence of light to desiccate the green parts of all plants with which it comes into contact.
The leaves becomes dry, yellow or brown within hours of its application. Light, oxygen and chlorophyll are therefore all required for the rapid and characteristic herbicidal effects of remowin herbicide.
