Muscular Dystrophy (we can link the word with the explanation given for the first patient) is not always caused by deletion of entire exons required for the synthesis of the muscle protein dystrophin. Sometimes, point mutations (change in a very small area of an exon or exons) can also cause the disorder as can be seen in the case of the patient.
